Duquesne University is looking for professionals
from various disciplines to take solid Program
Evaluation practices back into their
workplaces. Two programs will prepare them to
deliver useful, policy-shaping evaluation results
to their educational, human service, or business
programs.
The goal is to produce professionals who can
help take much of the guess-work out of decision
making in a variety of settings.

Two Choices & a Real World Touch
Students choose from either a 21-credit certificate
or a 39-credit M.S. Ed. in Program Evaluation.
Both include research and evaluation methods
courses. Both include communication, planning
and project management study. Each of the two
programs – plus a required practicum – connects
these offerings directly to the everyday workplace.
In addition, faculty bring real world experience
to the classroom from their consulting activities
as program evaluators, project managers, and
grant writers.
Flexible & Multi-Faceted
With so many different facts
to effective Program Evaluation and so many applications
of the discipline, Duquesne’s courses are
taught out of several departments: education,
English, and business.
In addition, working students have flexibility
in packaging their study to meet their professional
needs.
Both Quantitative and Qualitative
While some universities feature
only one methodological approach, Duquesne’s
courses and practical applications include both
quantitative and qualitative evaluation skills.
Students may choose to emphasize one approach
more strongly to suit the requirements of their
workplace or interests.
