Overview


The Special Education Program, offering the PA state certification titled Cognitive, Behavioral, Physical and Health Disabilities (CBP/HD) received an accreditation, i.e., National Recognition from the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). CEC is the Specialized Professional Association (SPA) recognized by NCATE to review special education degree programs and certificates.

The Special Education Program at Duquesne University offers two types of graduate programs: The Special Education certification program, Cognitive, Behavior, Physical/Health Disabilities (CBP/HD); and the Community Mental Health/Special Education Support Program (CMH/SES).
